  1. Amazing Joel, such a small space and so much habitat, got new ideas for our own front garden! And sincere question Joel, could you make a video on water levels in the ponds? I made my pond last year and have water plants who are growing out and over the pond edge, essentially they are draining the water level and growing larger and larger. Trimming them at the edges did help but i'm still losing some water, i'm sure my pond isnt leaky and remade it for the second time last year with new liner. Is it because i have wrong plants who are fast growing? Looking forward to your reaction and thanks as always for your inspiration!

  2. Love these longer videos. Thanks for sharing your passion, ideas, knowledge and inspiration Joel.
I’m sure I speak for all of us. 🐸

  3. Is there any chance of playing some decent music on your vids? This is just bloody noise! I think with nature or gardening, a lovely bit of Vivaldi, Mozart, delius, Ravel, Debussy, Beethovens Pastoral.😊

  4. Fabulous to see your front garden maturing, Joel, keep us posted! Quick question, I have a little insect house but it gets clogged up with spider webs. Should I clean these off, or can the bees cope with a little cleaning out of their "front doors"? I wondered if the webs are stopping them entering the holes. Thank you.

  5. Very nice, and great for wildlife, but I do wish it actually looked natural, with less sharp corners! The 'pond' is too rigid and unnatural for my taste, not to mention all that concrete- but good job. You can't please everyone. ; )

  6. It’s so sad here in New Zealand that pretty much all the butterflies have gone from our suburban garden despite a plethora of suitable plants for them. I’ve never even seen a native one of any sort. Up until last year we had the occasional white cabbage and quite a few Monarchs but the Asian paper wasps hunt them relentlessly and I didn’t see a single one this summer. I’d love to put in a wildlife pond but frankly I don’t know what would colonise it – other than mosquitoes. So so jealous of the variety you can still attract to your gardens!

  7. Love the birds foot trefoil and red clover combo. I have chalky soil and every time I plug birds foot it struggles to grow. Any advice on its position and soil type needed?

  8. I love this! What a fantastic design for wildlife. I’m hoping to do something similar once my house is built, but I live in Australia, otherwise I’d give your company a call. Thank you for providing homes and feeding grounds for so many different species ❤

  9. I've just planted five alder buckthorns in our garden (after watching an earlier video!) and can't wait for them to start coming into leaf.

  10. Question – was that cement under your brick path? Or just sand ? As want to make a brick path myself in the front wildlife garden but looks like it needs to be expensive cement..

  11. absolutely stunning work, it turned out SO beautiful! i watched on half speed through the beginning since i find the process of building the hardscape fascinating, so much attention to detail.
i’m shamelessly hoping you can continue to post updates over the years as i’m sure it will be even more amazing when the plants mature 😄

  12. How much nicer does that look compared to a car park in front of your house.
Front gardens are just as important spaces as the back garden 😊

  13. How closely can the alder buckthorne be planted together? will they become very big? looking at google they can grow to about 5 metres, can they be kept smaller than that?

  14. That amount of biodiversity is insane. My back garden is over twice as big as this and even with my native rewilding efforts, there's way further to go.

  15. Ostatnio kiedy jechalam przez wies w Niemczech to pomyślałam, jaka tu wszedzie nuda trawnik i krzak i tyle jesli idzie o kreatywność. NUDA, ale co tu zobaczylam po prostu ZACHWYT CUDO kolorowe zyjace piekne🐞🦋🐛 brawo dla właścicieli ❤❤❤❤
