  1. Good morning Jeff. My husband planted seeds in cups a couple of days ago. Temperatures back down in 40s in Texas. YIKES. He used blue cups this time because red cups trick humming birds into thinking it has sugar water in them and they will exhaust themselves flying to red cups and possibly die.😮 Have a Blessed day Jeff 😊❤

  2. Why not just plant it in the 3-4” pot to start with? I’m sure there is a reason they do it that way but it’s a head scratcher to me.

  3. Here in south west Missouri it’s still under 50 degrees at night. I’m waiting till April to start gardening. I even started planting indoors yet. Joe

  4. Right on! Jeff. I buy my seedlings from a local nursery and immediately repot for a while. They always thank me( like I’m thanking you)

  5. I really enjoy your gardening videos. Quick. Succinct. And they're packed with good examples as well as a bit of the why things are done. Thanks again!

  6. Love this video, reminds us that living things need room to grow. It also buys us some extra time if old man winter has yet to realize his time is up. lol

  7. I'm sorry I'm asking a different questions. I really enjoy your tips. I just bought some watermelon seeds..crimson sweet and Carolina cross. Question can I grow them in a large bag that was given to me…? By the way I live in Seguin, Texas

  8. Hi Jeff your timing is perfect. My seedlings are not as mature as yours, but now I know what to do when (fingers crossed) they are. Thanks for the info. Maggie UK

  9. Perfect short packed with great info. Thank you. You’ve answered my question so now I don’t have to ask 😊

  10. Love the videos Jeff. Been watching for a few years now!

Started some pumpkin and green bean seeds here in WV. They popped roots and sprouted quickly. However, they've only been in dirt for 3 days or less and some are already over three inches tall, what am I doing wrong?

Once I put them in dirt, I stick them near a window and let them go. Is not enough light getting to them causing them to reach? Thanks for any input anyone!

  11. Hi Jeff, my young seedlings are loving my new potting mix of peat free compost, coir and blood fish and bone.
50/50 compost & coir, 5% fish blood and bone. Love your channel my friend.
