  1. Hi it is Annie you guy really get it hard with the weather extremes there, seems like you gotta tie everything down. Here in South Australia we have had very hot week 38-30C deg so very hot and humility got to 87% during the day and 90% at night mid week last week we never used to get that humidity it was the eastern states that always do get it, as they are tropical north east of the country, It is easy to dehydrate yourself especially if you got heart condition and on meds etc, Well I felt so dizy weak and nauseous half the week ear fluid from humidity did not help, Gave vertigo and Mieniers disease it makes you feel sickish and like you are on a boat sea sick drunk like and your feet feel like when you are on a boat wobbly etc, It is awful to have this. had it last 20yrs on and off got it after had dust mite and grasses allergy needles that can make you ill and caused this, It seems that you guys will be in for a hot summer too, This year our Autumn is late and march had been the hottest on record for few years, Today it is Sunday here we are a day ahead and it is good that we had a cooler change and breeze from the south west beaches are in that direction so cooler winds so glad of it, I have lots of geraniums in ground and pots and they are so easy no fuss at all just break of a bit and put it in the dirt no fuss, There are also Pellagians similar but different leaf I got last week some more Jasmine for a climbing archway and a Gravellia plant that is a native and attracts birds to its flowers got a Lemon flowered one they come in lots of colours. Here it is coming pruning season lots to do there many trees in my garden. Junipers Norfolk Pine Natives Lilly Pillys lemon tree with its companion Ferjoa fruit tree, shapes. That has a small green oval fruit, its a bit bitter but nice in stewed fruit and jams.

  2. I enjoyed seeing your yard from the return willow twig walk. Beautiful privacy screen that has inspired me. Thank you!

  3. As much as I enjoy your seeing and learning from your garden successes, I appreciate seeing the struggles that nature throws at you too! This year I had about 50 foxgloves growing around my garden. Last week I found that some little creature had pulled out at least half of them and left them to die. I grow foxgloves because bunnies and creatures leave them alone. Not this year. I tried growing Minoan lace that you do so successfully but the bunnies thought it was for them. The bunnies are taking over in my area😂.

  4. Always enjoy the shows – I still have serval feet of snow in my yard – spring won't be here for a very long time. I was wondering about Kelly's hat – it is adorable – any idea where she got it?

  5. Durham, NC average temp on March 16 is 57degrees, today the temp is supposed to be 69. The storm front is near, and the rain should start in 40 minutes. I have multiple male cardinals (red) and female cardinals (grayish brown with slight red on wing tips and belly), and they are always in my garden.

  6. Was there going to be a surprise announcement on Saturday or was I just hearing that on an older video?

  7. We had 7 f2 tornados around us. We live in West St Louis in Wildwood. Luckily all we had to endure was power outage for 27 hrs but all around and south of us is terrible. Glad you and Stewart are safe

  9. Hey Linda did you know your apple watch has the temperature? You can choose which watch face you use and I keep the temp, hi and low.
    I am in zone 8b

  10. March 18th, 10:00am, Enumclaw, Wa. Currently 39 degrees. High today 46 deg. Low:36. 4 deg. Below avg. They say our zone is 8b but I think its more 7b. And we're on the edge of the Cascade mtns. So we can get some pretty high winds. I feel your pain…😢

  11. This so timely today. I am doing winter sowing today and tomorrow. Zone 5, Mother's Day is frost-free. Ok fir me to get plants or seeds in the garden.

I brought in 14 meduim size containers that contain three geraniums…fun .

  12. Linda, you need to sharper your hand pruners, clipping willow branches would go so much easier for you. Stay safe with all the winds and changing weather.

  13. I stumbled upon you one year with your Tulip Garden at your other home. I have been following on and off ever since. I also followed you on the transformation of your new home ,including the designing of your beautiful garden. I am very appreciative of everything you have shared with us. I also admire your style, and your way of communicating. Thank you and your lovely friends for showing us how to propagate our plants.
Lynda thank you for sharing your time and lovely personality with us.❤

  14. Linda we got the wind and rain here in the NC mountains last night and wee hours of the morning!
It was crazy! Today is beautiful sunny and breezy. Some garden clean up today!

  15. What triggered you to get the addition foundation inspected ? Were there cracks or something ?

  16. The Cedar Waxwings are apparently greedy. They are the birds in the widely circulated story about how nandina berries kill birds. This was, I think, a one-time event, but you can see why that would happen. Last year was my first year to effectively propagate begonias and geraniums. I did it the same way I propagate coleus: I always have a couple of pots of soil along my heavily shaded back fence line, and when I trim or a piece breaks off, I just stick it in the soil. I've also been successful doing this with petunias. My first propagation attempt probably 15 years ago was dwarf English boxwood. I had no idea what I was doing, but followed some internet instructions and used pure sand for my cuttings. I kept them on my open carport facing south with bright but indirect light and was successful with getting 9 out of 12 cuttings to root. Just ignorant luck on my part, and it took forever for them to have any size, but still, I was forever hooked on getting free plants. Plants that are easy to propagate from cuttings: althea, deutzia, weigela, hydrangea, red twig dogwood, willow, forsythia.

  17. I had 6 friends who spent a morning each helping a garden with putting grass down, making benches, planting flower beds or trimming shrubs. In Paulding County GA, there were 14 homes hit by falling trees, and 10 electric poles destroyed. I think we dodged a bullet with how much people were affected! I need another willow tree!

  18. Thank you for showing the real life events that we all struggle with in gardening. Loved this video! Thank you.

  19. NC 8a. 60ish and very windy which of course creates havoc in one’s yard! Propagating is the least expensive way to expand one’s garden! Thanks

  20. Here in Central Texas we are experiencing hectic strong winds that will end tomorrow night at gusts ranging from up to 520 to 30mph. This weather and wind is testing our gardening patience to the max, plus causing lots of allergy issues for many including myself. Its blowing in dirt and sand from west Texas. We just have to know on a positive note it will pass and we will have glorious days ahead. Sorry you are dealing a mess there at ur beautiful place. Love ur videos Linda!!!! Thanks for sharing ur knowledge with us.
