  1. i love Epic gardening seed trays! i have had them for several years. When you watch their videos, you will see someone stand on them. i tried this with one (what can i say i was doubtful!). my weight right around 200 lbs and i did not break that tray!

  2. Jess! I think you’ll love the epic gardening seed cell trays. It’s been a game changer for me and when you up pot from 6 cell to 4 cell it’s so easy. I love the birdies beds too!!! I’ve bough so many lol 😂 I’m redesigning my garden so I’ll m used their beds. So glad you’re connecting with them. I’ve been with you both for so long! And love you both for different reasons.

  3. Take care with sprinkling wildflower seed into areas of chickens to make certain all are fine to have chickens eat. Would not want anything poisonous in there.

  4. I've learned a lot from Epic gardening as well as Roots and Refuge. Both very good channels for information.

  5. Thank you Jess. Miah has great ideas and he loves to make his brides garden her happy place. Your garden is going to be so pretty. ❤️✝️🙏

  6. Those seedling cells are the bomb! The slits in the sides cause air-pruning so roots don't circle, and the big hole in the bottom is perfect for plants that require minimal root disturbance. They're all I use since I found them. Kevin and Jacques rock!

  7. Maybe that's why my seedlings all suffered and barely any survived. I did everything same way I always do only I didn't buy new soil. 🙄

  8. I've grown SNAKE beans…just wow! 4 ft long hanging from a trellis. Beautiful. These sword beans reminded me of them. Snake beans better eaten younger as well. Wish I could post a pic on here. Ordered from Baker Creek❤

  9. Hi Jess, I just feel bad seeing how many weeds you had to hand pull. I just wanted to share my two cents to help you out if you don't mind. I just lay down cardboard or newspaper and then put mulch down. It smothers everything. True, I can't direct sow in that area, but that's a small price to pay to avoid having to weed. I still have plenty of zinnias, larkspur, foxgloves, etc. I just do cool flower sowing in the fall mostly, and some in cell trays. By the time spring comes, it's pretty clear which are the desirable plants to avoid mulching, and which are the weeds.

  10. Thanks for sharing & being real! I love that your boys are so observant & smart! With Miah’s help you’ll have everything looking great soon! Those beans are so exciting. I planted some beans from a grocery bag of beans in the house to see if they’ll grow & they did. Now I have 2 months of trying to keep them alive before planting outside! Blessings 🤗🇨🇦

  11. We had a good melt on the weekend so I got a start on the weeding in my bulb bed. still another month before it is really showing well but so much easier to weed before the plants take off.

  12. I totally understand, no one else can weed my flower beds, I love (most) volunteer plants. I have many hours ahead of me! Got my gardener’s manicure weeding raised vegetable beds, today. I bless you!

  13. I have bird feeders in my garden too. I put pinwheels (kids toys) from the Dollar store in my tomato beds to keep the birds from attacking my fruits.

  14. Ok hearing those kid goat bleats, how do new or pregnant mums deal with that noise? I used to leak hearing another baby human cry in a store when i got a chance to shop alone as a new mum.

  15. I have no idea how you dont stop and go to those baby goats!😂 this would be why I cannot have goats. Excited to hear what uou tjink of those cell packs. The holes in the bottom look too big to me.

  16. Lifestyle youtubers get skin care products. Gardeners get pots. I am here for the gardening PR unboxings!

  17. My hubby refused to let me have bird feeders due to rats.😢😢 I already have lots of birds.😊😊

  18. Sounds like a time to read the kid story of the magic bean with the boys then get them to help plant them and watch it grow

On a separate note don’t forget to report the off gassing side effects 🤣 😂😂😂

    Both human and animal 😂😂😂😂

Looking forward to that giant bean journey

  19. I grow what i can for my space. I bake my sieved compost before adding to my mix as i don't have space to germinate outside in a greenhouse/structure and hate fungus gnats. I go by the mantra find your growing partner on YT or fellow growers in your area. I am learning a lot about germination as i was privilidge enough to have hierloom/ heritage seeds and buying new this year.

I am so used to sowing in Feb, planting out in April of my tomatoes. Save seeds, buy F1's.

I have bought Bob and Ray's seeds this year and sowed them along side my other saved seeds. Bob's is a well know man for selling seeds but his replacement fresh heirlooms and other new varieties do hold up to being sown in Feb.

Ray is a small seller, with a small YT channel. Their price is high for so small number of seeds and zero germ in Feb. They don't sow until mid March and thankfully they sent me some more, which have since germinated. Will be interesting to see if i get this variety and save the seed, it would be more stronger for my environment next year?

Is it saved seed privilege to know you have good saved seeds for you?

  20. Those beans!!! I went on a bean seed buying spree this year and I think I need to track those down… I fell down the heirloom dry bean rabbit hole this year and ended up with 20-ish rare or uncommon dried bean varieties in blues, purples, pinks and yellows (as well as some reliable favourites like Jacob's cattle and Mayflower and Canadian Wild Goose varieties). I did find a giant pea variety (Banana Nano) that I am really excited to try too! I am planning on tilling up a bit more of the old pasture for more gardens just to fit my shopping spree in lol

  21. Hi Jess, I am going through an Eczema journey. If you have any tips, please share them with me. I love your channels and your family. I need help with this that is not Steroids.

  22. If you plant those then you must have a golden egg party for your kids and their friends when the stalk is super large…

  23. I get overwhelmed too! I have to clean and prep the beds, seedlings need to be up posted, seeds need to be dropped and plants need to be hardened off. I might have to Shanghai one of the grandkids this weekend to help!
