Roots broke off while repotting – hold out hope or chop and prop?

the stick she propped from apparently grew all it’s roots from one single attachment, and that broke off while repotting. Is it worth trying to keep her as a vine? or should I cut into sections with 2-3 nodes each and deal with her being a short stack for a while?
I’d chop and prop a few sections, just to be safe.
I have had very little luck trying to get a vine this long to root. I generally cut into smaller sections
