I’m attempting to build a fully insulated garden room for a tiny budget of £500. In this episode, I fit windows and doors, make and fit the cladding material, struggle with a silly drainage issue and install decking outside and make some nifty acrylic window sills!
8 x 10ft (2.4m x 3m) Garden Room Plans available here:

These plans have been specially developed and optimised for commonly available timber and material sizes for your ease. They are also flexible, enabling you to use any window sizes you wish, however there is maximum door height of 2.1m in order to keep the building to within overall 2.5m height restriction (this is to avoid any issues with planning permission in the UK).

Brilliant, love it buddy!
Love these multi part series! Keep 'em coming!
I like how the decking boards you used remove all arguments about groove-side up vs down, since they have grooves both sides 😂 normally only see grooves on one side here
Fantastic job 😊
Excellent job
Nice job. Shows what can be done with reclaimed materials and a bit of ingenuity👍
Looks beautiful keith. Love the charred wood look and salvaged parts. Good man
so milwaukee's not sponsoring anymore
well done Keith, an inspiring video to show what can be down with ingenuity rather than money
I think Keith is in for the summer. He has been playing some catchy summer vibe tunes the last many videos 😂😅😎
Don't blame him.
The finished result outside looks amazing Keith, a really nice feature to the garden.
There's certainly a lot to think about and a lot of problems to solve when building a shed.
I really enjoyed this series. Well done, it looks great
Fantastic build Keith 🎉
That I proper cladding mate will last forever
This has been such a great series and looking forward to the videos on the interiors to come!
Nice – looks great, and to think you have saved most of the materials from going to landfill
If you ever host a party get one of those decking boards up after and count how many house keys and coins have slipped in between them 😅
There's something touching about this series, idk the honesty, the simplicity, the hardwork without bragging. It's a joy to watch. Bravo!!
All i can say about this series of "The Making of the Garden Room" is Absolutely Bloody Brilliant mate, i can't really say much more after my comments on the last few episodes, but what i will say is this, if this is what you can do on the outside building it from scratch, and using stuff that you have found with a budget of £500, then the inside is going to look Bloody Fantastic. Well Done Keith👏👏👏👏👏
Barry (the Wirral)
Under budget! Who does that?! Nice work and great use of materials. Can't wait to the see the inside.
Have you consodered painting the white PVC to tome them down and blend them in with the wood?
Many thanks for this series. It was absolutely marvellous! Like yourself, I used to use as much salvaged materials for my builds in my younger days, however, I think I just got lazy or impatient to get on with things. Think I’ll go back to my old ways – much more fun. Can I ask what Milwaukee model your small table saw is? Thanks again. 😎👍🏻
wicked
The homemade cladding it a great idea and looks amazing.
It looks great and you've brilliantly to stay well within your budget. I've been enjoying this series and actually like that this video was longer
Looking really nice Keith!
The only comment I will add is that you might consider softening the corners on those sills, as you have a young child that might get rowdy near the shed one day…
And used wood give so much more character. Love the shed 😘
i would of painted the pvc black but other then that looks good
Wish the guy who built my garden room had added some rodent mesh like I suggested… Bloody mice!
It all looks really good! To do it all for under 500 quid is pretty damn good… gotta love FBMP, kerbside rubbish piles and stash busting 😁
The only quibble would be the decking boards,,, the ripple side is supposed to face down to help with airflow between the joists and the decking boards, but I understand why so many people do it the way you have, especially in a wet/moist environment,,, you need all the grip you can get 😉
🙃🐨🇦🇺
wait, I got a deja vu, didn't you post this one already? please tell me I'm not going crazy
My man thats looking better than most modern build houses! Very envious of having that in your garden, id love something like that as a library/reading room!
Great job 👏🏼
