How to Grow Fruit In A Container

In this video, I pot up two Sam Houston peach trees, and a Seedless Thompson grape bush. To grow fruit in a container, choose a variety of fruit tree suitable for container gardening, select a pot with adequate drainage holes and size for the mature plant, use a high-quality potting mix designed for containers, provide regular watering and fertilization, and ensure enough sunlight exposure based on the fruit type; some great container fruits include strawberries, blueberries, dwarf citrus trees, figs, and cherry tomatoes.

We’re seeing shortages of basic items, with food being among them. I hope this video inspires and makes others realize that growing food in a suburban setting can be done. The backyard grocery store never has empty shelves! Happy Gardening!

  6. I started this season to put my fruit trees in 25 gallon containers
Tired of losing trees in the ground each winter

  7. Morning Moses. You look like you’ve got plenty of space to plant in ground. Why have you chosen to plant in the pots instead of in ground? I’m sorry if I somehow missed the explanation in the video.

  8. I can’t wait to get back down south. There’s no Tractor Supply where I’m at now. Nothing like fresh produce that you grow yourself. 👍🏽
