New build – current state of lawn, DIY or just hire?

New build lawn, looks like some seed was put down but it’s extremely patchy. The front is basically just dirt with some lawn sprinkled in.

Wondering how big of a job and what would be required for DIY?

Also, if I was to hire what would be the best way to tackle? Was thinking hydraseed or SOD.

Located in southern Canada.
