  1. Well, you’re also collecting a valuable resource in the process!

  2. This feels like working with a post hole digger in KY. Those fence rows take forever.

My dad as I use a prybar to heave out a rock: hun, why don’t you just move where you want to put the rose bush?? Does it have to go there?

Me: <takes three steps left. Hits rock>

Even the jackhammer don’t wanna help with this shit.

I wish rock came out of the ground like this where I live. Around here, the Texas Hill Country, you dig down a few inches and hit solid slab rock. Limestone mixed with a sparkly quartz like rock. Rent a Bobcat with a Belltec auger.

So sweet, they’re having a ball. What is it about rocks? Lol, “the children yearn for the mines”

My life is rocks. I unearth them and pull them to outline my 1900’ driveway. Cubic foot of sandstone is 150 pounds so I gauge the bigguns to how far I pull them or block and tackle them back. I’ve only got buggy to pull with limits and winch. It’s on a hill so I have to keep in mind trajectory and gravity.

Kids just don’t work as hard as they used to. SMH
