  1. Love hot peppers!! Had GREAT SUCCESS with jalapenos, and serranos last year – adding habaneros to my garden this year!! Pickled! Fresh! Fermented! & Hot Sauces!!! DELICIOUS. I did grow red knight & Bright Star (red & orange sweet peppers) as well – and had an abundant crop from only six plants. Ontario CANADA!!!

  2. I’ve had poor luck with peppers. So, this year of course I’m going all out with a 30 pepper GreenStalk planter tower. I do have the automatic waterer thing, so that should help with the density. No timer yet though. Shishito, Jalapeños, Santa Fe Grande, and Hungarian hot wax. All, somewhat milder peppers. I do have California Wonder, Yellow Biquinho, and a decorative Fire and Ice pepper I should probably start too. NW close to the 45th parallel it takes a while to heat up so 2 months to go. Not much frost, but there will be some and it will be below or at 40 frequently.

  3. In your thumbnails, it looks like you're ready to have a dildo inserted into your mouth, so I simply unsubbed. Have a great day.

  4. I bought Bananas peppers that were not supposed to hot. My question is if you planted some hot peppers next to bananas peppers. Can cross pollinate from the hot peppers

  5. We have overwintered our peppers from last year. They are already putting on leaves! Can't wait for the evening temperatures warm up so we can transplant them outside. We are in zone 8a. This is the third year with these peppers!

  6. Peppers should have been started weeks ago! Don't delay on pepper seedlings. Hopefully, you have overwintered your best plants from last year. Gotta get a jump on the season. Ripe pods by May!

  7. Thanks for your help. Planted 30 seeds today of all kinds of peppers, we shall see…thanks for the videos..

  8. I bought an 'ornamental' pepper start, years ago. The tag read, 'Too hot! Do not eat!' Beautiful plant, grown in a pot, the colors just blew my mind! I ate, of course. The HOTTEST pepper I've ever grown and ingested. Wicked hot!

  9. Most productive pepper EVER in my garden is my big, bushy Habanero, overwintered 3 yrs, now. Love the tropical fruity flavors and good amount of heat.

  10. Those Reapers ARE Hot! 😂 i ate one raw seeds and all. Problem was, i have NO teeth! 😂 My "Cannot Swallow Large Pieces" training would not allow swallowing it, until about Triple time someone with teeth can swallow it !! Exercise in Torture!!
My tummy really wanted to Expel it, by the time it got to it!!😂
    But i ate it. 2 bites….

  11. I agree, I had great yield on my pepper plants that had 2 started per container. Planted together. Mild Paplano and Sweet circus peppers (light yellow no spice).

  12. Hello, that was so helpful! I have one overwintered plant, the only one that made it. I also planted the same bell pepper from the seeds i had from last year as my seeds hadn't arrived yet. I also, bought seeds for a white jalapeno as i wanted to try something different. This will be for my balcony garden so i stuck with only a few varieties just to try them out! I did the same with tomatoes so i could try growing other things like cucumbers and zucchini and a few other things. I have mapped out how everything will fit onto my balcony as well as trying to grow a few things indoors and hydroponically! Here's to a great season. Have a wonderful weekend.

  13. I'm away right now and had to ask my daughter in law to start my pepper seeds since I would miss the optimum start window. Thankfully, she loves to grow food, too, and was very willing to help me out. When we get back, I'll continue to nurse them along until outdoor planting time. I'm only growing adjvarski, banana, and nadapenos this year. We don't eat a lot of peppers, so these will suffice. I would love to try habanadas. I had 1 Serrano plant last year and had peppers galore!

  14. Habanada's are awesome! Same flavor and you expect that you're about to get blown away by heat and there's nothing. Great for those with absolutely no heat tolerance to get that amazing habanero flavor. I've grown them pretty easy, put them in chili to add that flavor depth without blowing out the spice level for the wife and kids.

  15. My favs are shisitos and biquinos (beak peppers). Both grow well in containers and are very prolific. Biqs are tiny little sweet peppers meant for pickling (or just popping in your mouth). Technically they are not hot, but they pack a ton of seeds in a tiny space and every now and then throw some firecrackers. They also seem to thrive on neglect. Grow them once, save the seeds from 2 peppers, and you will be able to grow them forever. 😁❤️👍🏼

  16. Another fun video. In the past we have grown several of the peppers you suggested CA wonder, habinaro, Hungarian wax, jalapeno, serrano, Anaheim, gypsy, pablano, banana, ghost, , cayanne), also have grown sriracha. Some others that were given to us and we saved seed and have grown as well: rat turd, and chilpin – both HOT. This year we are also growing the mini bell, also habanodo -heard about those from you! thank you 😉 , and an orange spice jalapeno; cherry bomb (small thick wall sweet); red macaroni sweet pepper (large Italian), and lemon drop (medium heat). Will take to heart the tip to plant in twos. Very grateful for all we learn from you.

  17. Growing habanada this year. Looking forward to trying it. I’m also doing corbachi peppers this year which are curly. Mild peppers

  18. Good info on pepper varieties. Last year I pre-sprouted my pepper seeds and grew great hot peppers. I hope you are going to do a video on replanting over wintered video.

  19. I like thai peppers for red pepper flakes. Serranos in place of jalapeños. I like Anaheim & cubanelle peppers in place of bell peppers. But i still like bells. I like ghost peppers for hot sauces & salsas.

Habanero peppers.. i want to really like them but i don't. I hate there flavor. But they have a delayed heat effect i really really like. I finally gave up on them but i wouldn't mind finding something similar but tasty. I do like very spicy peppers but for special things. I can just straight eat habanero. So.. i want a similarish experience around the same Scoville. Just better tasting.
