Today is the start of my garden project videos / gardening vlogs for 2025 and with the first real burst of spring-like sunshine it’s time to get on with my DIY jungle & exotic Mediterranean style garden build once again! In today’s video I share my progress changing the entrance to my long and narrow North Lincolnshire tropical style jungle garden, spring care tips and how to move a Dicksonia antartica tree fern (sort of!) and move a big boulder to my Fire Pit raised bed rockery. Part garden plans and spring projects, part moving a rock, part pseudo-intellctual gardening babble – 99% overenthusiastic nonsense – the 2025 garden transformation begins here!

  1. Well that was an eye opener! Shows a different side of you never dreamt you had been a strongman. Very philosophical enlightening and funny video but you always entertain us. I’ve just turned 70 and my back is not what it was so I sit and ponder about how I’m going to change things about , moving plants, pots etc , then spend a couple of hours doing it , then sit back and think perhaps I should’ve only spent an hour doing and the back wouldn’t be complaining! 💚

  2. I don’t know what you want to do with the wall at the end (seen at min. 10.08) .you could try to plant ficus pumila at the bottom of the wall. It will crawl up and cover the wall without taking space away. I live in America Zone 7b/8a and this ficus can withstand easily frost -7. I think it will look good.

  3. No way I knew I’d seen your face somewhere before your YouTube channel 😂🫡👌👌👌👌 I Didn’t realise until you showed the clips back. 😂I used to watch strongman all the time.

  4. 11:26 Nettles are good for ladybirds 🐞 though 😂 and them in turn can control your aphids so there a win win if you ask me.😂 I deliberately keep a big bunch exactly for that reason so nothing to be embarrassed about!😂😂

  5. Top video & can I ask how come you stopped strongman was it an injury ? Also 15:40 wise choice 😂 save your back! 😂👌👌👌👌

  6. A bit of sun and warmth and off you go into humourous mode. But more like a firework spinning all around. Hilarious speed talking fast mode, which is difficult to get right in editing. So many great elements that others have commented on. Enjoy your week.

  7. This was the best intro to a video, so funny, I watch you with my morning coffee, and it starts my day with a LOL. Enlightening, philosophical and funny, great job

  8. Wow George! I was not expecting that! Your talents are endless, flipping well done you. As I enter my early 50's I find the easiest way to move things is yell "Mmmmmaaaaaattttttt!" And direct him where I want him to go 😂 Bonus points to Remi for being a good boy and peeing on your oversized gunneras 😉 although knowing your luck it'll make your flipping leaves bigger than ever this year 🙄 Really enjoyed watching George, huge thanks as ever for sharing ❤

  9. Absolutely FANTASTIC video!! I loved the whole thing and you showed a whole other side of yourself, very impressive all round. Massive respect for your strongman journey and continuing to keep fit. I loved the editing and surprise ending. All very informative and entertaining at the same time! Thank you for helping me learn and create, I am blessed that you showed up in my feed. Peace, Love and Blessings to you, your lovely family and cute dog 🙂

  10. George george george!!! You are a total diamond. This vid has to be one of the most emotional garden videoes ever! The filming and soundtrack brilliant! Well done. Good luck with the pebble!😂. Regards Steve.🌴

  11. Soon youll be lifting Sequoia/Redwoods over your shoulder George.! We all get realisations when gardening, I had to remove some over grown luma trees and Arbutus and Lantern Trees that were stealing Sunlight from the palms and the garden the difference is night and day. Now to find a Butia and Blue Mediterranean Fan Palms, also when is the Aztec Temple coming in?.

  12. Hi George, great training montage lol. Can i ask where you got your large boulders from? Im after a couple but there either free but a nightmare to move as you have just shown or can be delivered but cost a fortune.

  13. Brilliant! 😂😂😂 Such a fun video, keep them coming! Your enthusiasm really shows! Btw, you’ve lost quite a lot of weight in the last few years, didn’t you? Just like your friend Mark 😅 Happy hardening George!

  14. It took some time, but I managed to convince my plants that chipmunk George is in fact not real and can't hurt them😆

  15. Goerge why dont you get a hammer and bolster and split the rock it would be easier to move plus more rock, all the best mate…Julian
