We have both except our cart is 6 cubic feet. I prefer the standard wheelbarrow, easier and faster to unload, while my wife prefers the cart so she can roll it. I do use the cart though when we have trees fall down to move very heavy logs.
The cart will probably be easier to move up hill but it also might roll down it.
Also Amazon is selling a gorilla 4 cubic feet cart for $79.13 but the colors are different from that one.

I love the cart but it has a tendency to roll down hills. Wish there was some sort of parking brake for it.

I have the cart, it’s a beast and has saved my butt many times. I prefer 4 wheels and it’s more stable for my uses

I have both and prefer the cart. The wheelbarrow has a tendency to tip if it’s full.

I’ve had #2 for years. No complaints. Bonus – kids love being pulled in it.

I have the two wheel option, if I could go back I would go with a different option. The big problem I have is with the wheels, while it’s not terrible to pull in best conditions, if the soil is soft or rutted or hilly, good luck pushing that much weight, and pulling can get tough. I wish I went with a dual wheel, wheel barrow with pneumatic tires for my situation.
If the wheels on option 2 are pneumatic I think that would probably be good for your situation, pulling uphill is a heck of a lot easier than pushing.

Wheelbarrow might be prone to tipping, but the wagon will for sure roll down hills. Depends on what you’re more comfortable dealing with. I prefer a wheelbarrow because when I need to stop and rest mid hill I don’t have to hold it in place, just drop the back end down.

We also have the 7 cu ft. one and the tire popped pretty quick, had to go out and buy full rubber tires.

Something I can actually respond to. I own the gorilla dump cart in 4cu size and 12 cu size I keep at one of my rental houses and it’s one of the best outdoor things I’ve bought both from Facebook.
I considered the poly yard cart, but it is basically a wheelbarrow minus the side dump ability, and I already have a 7cu ft true temper WB.
Given you have a hill, I would get a yard cart and wheelbarrow if you need one, some work is better suited to that. The 7cu ft I think is the best size for them, sometimes 4 is kinda small and 12 can be heavy to pull loaded unless you have a rider tractor. Also make sure you get the “2nd gen” w yellow handle that has 180deg dumping mechanism.
I saw them at Costco last time I was there FYI. $240 I think for 9cu ft.

I prefer 4 wheels over any type of wheel barrow..

If you want the 2 wheel option, then get the Rubbermaid version. I have that and it’s perfectly balanced / held up really well. I also have a larger version of the 4 wheeled gorilla cart and it’s great. Can be a good idea to have a few extra pins around that hold the wheels on just in case.
For mulch / general yard stuff I prefer the 2 wheeled Rubbermaid, but for hills I would probably go 4 wheeled. Consider the larger size too.

Lower center of gravity, the better for inclines

My yard is on a hill too and it’s fairly uneven so manuvering is an issue for me. I find it easier to be able to push and balance a #1 or just a simple 1 wheel barrel. If I have a heavy load in it then I would literally have to be pulling the 4 wheel wagon up hill instead of being able to use my entire body to push it instead.

$100 difference in price between the 4 Cubic / 7 Cubic – I don’t know what to get…in my mind, more trips with less weight = less possible turf damage.

I might go grab the cart! I’ll need it for lawn leveling this year

I have the 4 wheeler on a sloped lawn and I feel like i would have been better off with a 2 wheeler. However, there are ways to get it from falling down the hill it just takes a little adjusting.
It’s funny that you mention this: my Gorilla Cart finally gave up the ghost after 7 years of me beating the absolute crap out of it.
My back yard is hilly but it handled things like a champ. Just bought a new one. The only suggestion I would make would be to switch out the leak-prone tires with solid rubber ones.

Dump cart. The yard cart is low to the ground and would be a nightmare to pull up hill. Great for sand and rocks though.
I like my cart because I can hook it to my zero-turn and use it to haul everything i’ve needed. It’s been great, mulching has never been easier.

FYI the older (i think) model with the metal dump handle is $80 at Walmart and Amazon right now. Not really sure what the difference between them is other than the handle

This is by no means an endorsement, but oh my gosh didn’t realize this was a thing: for the price of a used car you can get an electric garden cart with brakes: [https://store.graniteind.com/product/overland-electric-garden-cart-7-cu-ft-and-turf-tires/](https://store.graniteind.com/product/overland-electric-garden-cart-7-cu-ft-and-turf-tires/)
