someone left this on the ground at the dumpster of my complex a few months ago. I’ve been watering it and it’s grown really big leaves now.
tried googling the description but nothing matched with my search.
I water it a few times a week and he sits in front of the window seven days a week. unclear if this is appropriate for this type of plant.
I named the plant Nathan.

Nathan is a coleus, and a very happy looking one at that!
Coleus. Easy to grow, also easy to propagate.
If it gets leggy, just cut it and set in water – and you’ll have another
Coleus is one of my all time favorite plants. The foliage is amazing and it makes flowers that bees love. I started 72 coleus plants this year for my garden.
Coleus is also easy to graft! My university uses it in biology labs to teach the students about grafting. They have all sorts of colourful leaf patterns, so you can make a ‘coleus of many colours’ by grafting. They’re very forgiving plants.
He is very pretty. You should be proud.
That’s adorable. Thanks for taking care of Nathan.
Coleus, Kong series. They are seed grown.
