Also, if you’re looking at this and thinking “that looks like a greenovia!” it’s because this hybrid is part aeonium dodrantale… which is also sometimes known as greenovia dodrentalis.

The truth is that back in the 90s, the “greenovia” genus was merged into the aeonium genus. So all “greenovia” are actually species of aeonium. Cultivation has been slow to adopt this change and even to this day, a small minority of botanists think the merging of greenovia into aeonium was a mistake. However, in my experience, greenovia really are just unusual looking aeonium! And this has been supported with genetic studies as well.
