  1. I knew that would be great from the bottom, it's a giant mound. I'm very surprised by the perspective from the top, wasn't sure about it. The variation in the height and form of those tall plants really breaks it all up beautifully and keeps it frothy and light: the eye roams and undulates. Clever design. Again.

  2. Hi Laura I got 2 cuttings of an aloe ramissiana? I don’t know how to spell it. Is it true it won’t grow from a cutting? Any advice since your my muse I figure who better to explain to me. Thanks

  3. Love a barrel colony. I was inspired to make my own baby barrel colony, and it's probably my favorite thing.

  4. 4:05 I absolutely love your barrel Peloza installations. I still remember that one particular one! It had a steep hill and was covered entirely in barrel cacti.

  5. Love the barrels! It’s looking fabulous between your perfect placement and the glorious specimens just Wow! Then there’s that view OMG! Love this property!

  6. What great space and the giant rocks native to the site. Loved your deadpan about "it took all of us." around 8:32 and tree wrestling…. as one old guy I have gotten the root ball on a sheet of cardboard and found it much easier to slide into the hole. If some of it cannot be removed it will simply disintegrate. I hope you can save your backs!

  7. Just want to say that you are seen- as the incredible landscape artist you are Laura. Balancing 360 degrees of a huge lot with balance and symmetry and the growth element over time. Plants, microclimates, slopes, colors, textures, so many elements to hold in your imagination-WOW. Hats off to you and Team DFS. You operate as an orchestra creating beauty. It's awesome!

  8. Hi Laura, beautiful work! I would love to see you work with Euphorbia Sticks on fire as a single specimen tree in larger gardens like this. Without any pruning they naturally grow into a pleasing tree form with a trunk. There is also the plain green version which I personally prefer.

  9. Amazing garden! Have you considered seating under the oak or in other spots to enjoy the different views?

  10. What an amazing place to just take a little nature walk on your own property! Are there going to be a few places to stop and sit and enjoy?
