Bought these at the same time. Two of them have rooted and are growing as you can see. The other three are just laying on there and shrinking as time goes by. What should I do to help them root? It’s been around around 5-6 months since I’ve bought them.

You could try to pull the ones that haven’t been rooting out to a separate pot so that you could keep that medium moist longer to try and encourage them to root, without rotting the current established ones.
Personally though, I’ve experienced this a lot myself when buying conos or even replanting seedlings. Sometimes they just stop taking in water for some reason or just never establish. I’ve tried cutting the roots back and replanting them, and that sometimes works, but not reliably.
I had the same problem. I put them in a shallow pot on a cheap (~$20) heat meat — within 3 days they started rooting like crazy.
Granted, my sample size was like n=2, so take my anecdote with a grain of salt. Maybe they coincidentally started rooting with the bottom heat, who knows.
But if you decide to try it, please share the results.
5-6 months spans a lot of different stages for these guys! in summer, they’re dormant and shouldn’t be watered. in fall, they start to come back to life and need water near weekly. in winter, they slow down and need water only when wrinkly. and by late March to mid-April, they’ll start drying up and making sheaths for the warm season dormancy again. depending on how you were handling them, you might or might not have been helping them figure that out…
