It's a monstera adasoni (i think) it's been in water for about 3 weeks

    It looks ok to plant. I would give it some support when you get it in the soil.

  2. It’s definitely ready, I would personally have transplanted it even earlier, once the roots are a couple of cm long.

    This is because water adapted roots are not the same as soil adapted roots, they can’t interface with soil particles in the same way. The transplant won’t really flourish until it has grown propper soil roots, so there is no benefit to allow water roots get this long, they will all die off in the soil eventually.
