1. Pull the mulch back 2” from the exterior wall. Wood right against the house encourages pests to get in.
2. When it comes time to freshen up that mulch next year, put natural cedar mulch over top. It lasts longer, is naturally pest resistant, smells amazing and the light color will look fantastic against the color of your house.
