Laura is in the greenhouse today planting seeds for thousands of flowers that she will grow at Lily Brook this gardening season! From show stoppers like dahlias, zinnias, and sunflowers, to greenery and filler flowers, Laura plans to plant them all. There’s something so rewarding about planting a seed in the dirt, watering it, and then nurturing it until it becomes a beautiful bloom. In the garden this simple yet beautiful act never seems to get old! Seeing the fruits of your labor as you walk the pathways of your garden, smelling the blooms, and cutting them for a beautiful cut flower arrangement on your kitchen table. Some flowers are so easy to grow that even a beginner gardener can master it year one! Don’t be afraid to try planting some zinnias in your windowsill! They are almost as easy as weeds to grow. Give them sunlight, water them, and watch your breathtaking garden unfold this summer. Laura didn’t get all of the seeds planted today but little by little she will put 1000s of seeds in the dirt and watch them grow into her dream garden!
