Looks like a lack of humidity to me. You might need to put a humidifier near it.

It COULD be fasciation. I have a gloriosum and it has the same head shape! The first leaf anywho, the others do look like humidity needs to be increased and or consistent watering schedule.

It’s definitely a McColleys. I would also check for pests. Mine did that when I just got it from big box store and it had spider mites.
