Purple top/forage Turnip. Peel them, boil them whole. Smash them flat to 1/2 inch and place on toweling to dry, turn over in half hour to absorb the rest of the moisture. Place on Parchment paper on cookie sheet, baste on garlic oil, sprinkle with salt, pepper and Parmesan cheese. Flip patties and repeat. Place in preheated 375degF oven for 20 minutes, flip and continue cooking for 20 minutes. Enjoy. We ended up with 6 acres of winter cover crop, and cattle don’t like turnips. Didn’t want them to go to waste

What about kohlrabi?
Fleecelined
If you find them bitter my mama always boiled them with an apple and mashed them with lots of butter and salt

Sounds weird but peel them chop them (will be a bitch) and put them in a pan with some butter just a little water and season liberally with pepper, cinnamon, and sugar. That’s not how it’s traditionally done but I love sweet rutabagas

Looks like a rutabaga
Turnip. It’s possible they’re rutabaga. Are they white or yellow inside?
[Rutabega](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rutabaga) or [turnip](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turnip).
Peel em and eat em
