I’ve been told so long as you continue to add nutrients to the water at a good schedule you should be fine

Yeah, it just needs supplemental nutrients. It will get too big for the vessel, though.

As others have noted, you will need to give the plant nutrients to continue to grow, but it will grow quite well in that environment. I like to grow a lot of my plants in wicking pots suspended over a nutrient reservoir. They eventually grow their roots down into the res, and they love that set-up. You will encounter a lot of algae growth though, and you may decide you don’t like the look of that quite as much. My nutrient reservoirs are all kept in darkness, so algae isn’t a problem. But with a clear glass container and excellent nutrition, expect it to go green in a few weeks to a month.
P.S. your props are looking great!

Sorry your plant is cool but that signed Tony hawk birdhouse deck is wayyyyyy cooler lol

Hydroponics are your answer. If you really want to keep this in water long-term and prioritize its wellbeing, hydroponics. But if aesthetics are the priority, just be prepared to supplement nutrients and clean it often

Dumb question.. how can plants live in water if too much watering causes root rot?
