Bought this big ol monstera off fb marketplace. It’s really growing in a bit of a sideways direction and I want it to go up. Is it too old to redirect growth with a stick or even repot it. Also what is this funny looking thing growing underneath it.

Also I cut off the brown bits, not sure if that’s a good idea or not but aye too late now.

Just trying to keep home-slice alive, and thriving since it’s looking a little yellow, any tips are appreciated

Either you can repot it to straighten it and place a pole for it to climb on Or just place the pole directly where the air roots are coming out.
That funning looking thing is its fruit. Once ripe it’s a delicacy. You can google it to find out more.

Don’t over water and give plenty of light . You should be okay.

  2. It’s never too late to add a pole although it will be really tricky, be careful not to damage the stems. You may have to repot to get her in a better position to attach to the pole. The yellowing leaves is due to watering issues I think, make sure the soil is dry before watering, then give her a soak. Someone recommended the weekly weakly fertiliser method for me and it worked pretty well. Make sure she has good lighting as well.

As for the thing underneath that’s a fruit, I believe you can eat them but some people say it’s irritating to stomach and throat so please do research before eating it!

Leave it or repot it but definitely should add a support to help straighten it

It’s growing towards the natural light, no?? It’s the position of it relative to the window causing some of thatlean??

She’s fruiting. It’s incredibly rare and edible, wait until the hexagons start to pop off before you pick it.
