Welcome back to our cottage garden. Now that February is well underway we have a colourful backdrop of hellebores to share with you. I have recently added a few more plants to our collection, and we will be displaying the flowers in a bowl of water. Elsewhere in the garden we have been weaving willow hurdles, and enjoying the snowdrops as they emerge. We hope you enjoy the tour. This video was sponsored by Craftsy.

First video I've seen of yours but you've definitely gained a subscriber! Looking forward to spring vibes soon 🌺🌻🌷🌸
Recently found your channel and have been binging all of your beautiful content ❤🌱
i absolutely love your garden!!! x its so so amazing and love your videosssss
I discovered your channel about two weeks ago and have been binging all your videos and waiting patiently for this one!! Already excited for the March video 🥰 xx
Lovely Hellebores!❤
I am a big hellebore fan also and have lots in my garden. My camelia, iris reticulata, crocus and primroses are all in flower here in NW Wales so it's feeling very Spring-like. I have had success wrapping untreated fleece I collect from fields around trees that have suffered damage. Your garden is stunning as always x
I just love your channel ,whimsical , cosy and heart warming!🍂🍃🥬🍁🍀🥬🍂🍂🍃🍃🍃
Морозники супер! Я их тоже коллекционирую. Люблю их. Но в этом году у нас очень морозный февраль и хорошего цветения не будет. Крым.
The hellebores in flower have been so uplifting through these cold, grey winter months. I have noticed quite a few bumble bees on them in the past few days since we have had some sunshine and warmer temperatures.
The fig tree might come back from the rootstock, even if you are not able to rescue the top by grafting. Regarding the mud – there are things called "Rasengitterplatten" in German – no clue what the English word for that is, but basically they are "pavers" made out of concret or strong plastic, they are put "into" the lawn so that the grass is growing through it but the ground level is slightly lower then the toplevel of the "Rasengitterplatten" – so you are walking on the Pavers, not the soil/grass. Which also means, that there is not really a chance of getting slippery because the water can still sink into the ground. The only not so great thing about it is: they do not look great.
Mona, you look more like Grace Kelly’s granddaughter than her own grandchildren do ❤
You have the most beautiful Hellebores!! So much variety! They are so hard to find here, and when you do, the nursery may only have 1 or 2 varieties! I’m in Eastern Ontario, 🇨🇦. Greetings! PS love your ducks!
I bought a few Hellebores a few years ago after viewing yours! I can't get the varieties you have in my Connecticut area, but will keep looking. I'm still snowed in, but temperatures 50s today and tomorrow. Finally. Will your new book be released in the Unites States?
Here in the southeastern USA, just loving your videos. I could look at you and your beautiful gardens all day long. Thank you for sharing them with us. I am SO envious of your stone walls and willow fencing, something I never see here. Have a blessed 2025!
The fig should come back from the root, if the top is in fact dead. In cold climates , figs usually die to the ground
Be safe with duckies!
Thanks for this video. I love the hellebores. For now I only have snow drops and eranthis blooming
Nice video. Have you seen invitation of mini chainsaw via email today?
I have the same problem with the grass, I'll put some seed on the patches in April. It's still cold here in Scotland.
Beautiful hellebores! 😍 I have just done the same with mine, creating a hellebore bowl, and it feels like such a luxury to be enjoying such beautiful blooms from the garden in the house in February! Have a look at the variety “Elena”, if you haven’t already. It’s a variety that I added to the garden last year and I am in love! 😍
This was lovely!
Looks gorgeous already! 👌❤️
Dear Ramona, it is entirely possible to take cuttings from figs at this time of year (try a mixture of last year's growth, as long as possible, pencil to little finger width, and also some with about an inch of older wood too) and put them straight into pots of well draining compost, very firmly pushed down, and water in well, keep moist and frost free; I had success with some I took from an old Brunswick variety and I would think Brown Turkey etc would be the same. You've nothing to lose, provided the damage hasn't prevented the sap completely reaching the end points of the shoots so they are still viable. Good luck, loving the videos and seeing the duckies!
Your garden gets more beautiful with every passing year. I didn’t think that was possible. 😊. Thank you for sharing. ❤
Hi Ramona your garden is looking beautiful already. I am in Lincolnshire and I have had primroses in my garden since before Christmas. Everything seemed to be shooting up so much earlier this time which was strange. Did you notice any changes ? Last year I had no crocuses come up but thankfully they are this year.
Get a few cats
I have a brick path that does get quite slippy. I'd recommend a gravel/stone pathway, as i have one of those, too, and that doesn't get slippy in my experience.
Oh my goodness, what an absolutely divine garden! We have so much work to do this spring, planting and tending the land. Lovely vlog, blessings from Ireland🍀

Delightful video ! Thank you
Beautiful! I am jealous of your hellebore varieties.
Ah, I waited for this. Helps so good when I feel anxious and need to stop thinking about political stuff and the bad in the world. I love your little paradise and your calm way of narrating. Thank you, thank you
I always love when you cut some of your hellebore flowers and place them in water, it's always magical 😊 thanks for reminding us that spring is around the corner 😊
I'm sure the duck lockdown will be just as effective as all the other lockdowns have been.
Качки гарнесенькі, якісь незвичайні!
