  1. If anyone is asking about the basket planter, Home Depot still carries the MPG basket container online but now it’s $239. I have a few MPG containers that have really held up over the years but that same planter was 3 times the cost last fall. So as tried as mine are looking I’ll be squeezing every bit of use out of them.😬😂

  2. Thankyou for your videos -been watching forever. I imediately ordered a chom chom hair removal roller after watching that video. I have 3 cats. It is AMAZING. THANKS for the tip

  3. I thrive watching you two plus Paul and Bethany garden . I get inspired so.much that I actually create an amazing display in front of our house .

  4. Yes a stormwater detention pond!

Guys – remember when the great salt lake flooded – a desert can get spells of massive rainfall and that water needs to be planned for. Deserts have dry riverbeds not bc they are waterless, it's bc they get spells of intense rainfall and then those dry riverbeds become dangerous fast moving rivers.

  5. 63 Year old Lifetime gardener….. Grew up Faming. Shoes in the house, except muddy one (Have super scratchers to remove stuff from the Bottom of them). I have THE CUTEST outhouse, just outside my greenhouse and near our firepit (for the ladies)!!!! With solar fairy lights inside, Better Homes and Garden Decor inside. Spray paint will peel off…..Stain will not. My sweet husband built me a 500 sq ft greenhouse totally from Old Windows. 9 ft French doors on the front, with 3 stained glass panels in the peak with a strategically places Chandelier behind them. 16 ft ceilings to keep the heat Up!!! And I am at a Point in my life, where my Motto is ……. I do me and you do You, BOO!!!! 😂😂

  6. Boys! Aaron is too funny and your response to his middle school humor is priceless. I don't think there is a woman out there who has not experienced this. LOL Adore these wrap ups. They leave me smiling for the balance of the day.

  7. You have kindly responded to thousands of questions over the years but have one that, as far as I could see, has never been asked. My husband died suddenly a few months ago, age 61, and I will be planting around the headstone in the spring. Zone 6a, full sun. What options do you suggest to plant for the small space at the gravesite. I can not be there to maintain or water more than once a week .thank you.😢 🇨🇦

  8. Just a note about composting toilets that might work well on your large property. I have been in a house that had one indoors. The house was also connected to a greenhouse on the entire Southside of the house and it both conditioned the air and added warmth in winter. Anything that rotted was thrown into the toilet. The toilet itself reminded me of old outhouses or camp latrines, a simple painted plank with a hole, only this open hole had a comfortable wooden seat, and was so deep no smell rose up from it. The owners somehow gathered the compost once a year, filtered first through screens, and used it as compost for NON-edibles.
I have longed for such a house ever since…, and I've seen some youtube channels showcases the-house-within-a-greenhouse concept, so I continue to dream…
Thank You Laura and Aaron and GA Team!! Awesome videos!

  9. Can you do a video on Kokedama please. I wanted your take on them. I think you would love those also. Im wondering how big one could make them.

  10. Hey Laura and Aaron, I just want to send a little appreciation post, I struggle with my silly mental health, and as much as I love everything to do with growing, when I’m struggling it all gets very overwhelming. So watching you each day and breaking things down into projects has really been helping me, I load up my wheelbarrow with my supplies (pretending it’s my gator) and head to the allotment. So thank you for brightening up my late winter ❤ x

  11. In my area of Canada we are VERY 'shoes off' in the house. I have a basket of monogrammed slippers I keep in my entry closet. When guests arrive I offer them a pair of slippers and when they leave I just toss them in the washing machine.

  12. When you use stain on pots, it is more successful for the reasons you noted but also, when the stain piece needs to be refreshed, you can just retain versus dealing with peeling, flaking paint? Am I getting that correct?

  13. its funny. We don't care about shoes in our house but we have an airstream and we're RELIGIOUS about taking our shoes off when heading into the trailer! When there are only a couple of steps between the dirt and the inside, SO MUCH gets dragged in. But at home, concrete sidewalks and such do a great job of cutting down on the crud that gets drug into the house. If we didn't have those hard surfaces transitioning between the house and outdoors, I may be a lot more insistent on taking shoes off!

  14. Love your flower shed!! Have you thought of a composting toilet to add to your flower shed? Great way to add waste facilities without the need for plumbing. Electrical outlet is needed to heat up waste as compost

  15. Love watching your videos! In our area, we have rent-a-goats that are easily brought to one's property that graze on the desired area to rid of landscape issues, then taken away. You may have this option in your area.😊

  16. When visiting friends in England, we had pizza. Being from the US we ate it with our hands. Our british friends gave us a no no look. Their son tried it and was asked was it good?

  17. Our kids always used our rolling pin when playing with playdough. Could that have happened?

Also I remember one New Years Eve, our high school sophomore (at the time) had a party and I walked though the foyer and all the kids had kicked off their shoes. We didnt ask them to do that. Some were HUGE. I took a picture – for some reason, that is a really great memory.

  18. I cannot believe you haven't found that rolling pin yet. Too funny! Have you tried . . . . Kid's toy box, under the kid's beds, and kid's closets. It's a pretty cool "toy" if you think about it. 🙂

  19. I love these recaps, including Aaron's sense of humor!
On the organic vs not, I think people are thinking of large commercial grow operations (flower, human food, or animal food) where the is significant run off and the chemicals end up in the drinking water and or waterways.
