so i asked recently if i could take my pothos from dirt to water, i couldn’t get all of the dirt off so im hoping it will soak off with time. but the pot was too big and it was sad looking. and i thought since my other pothos are thriving in my fish tank why not take that water and put it in a vase to see if it will live better in here, i do however have one single pothos in dirt and it seems to be living, but its a pot that fits the pothos.
anyways. do we think that the fish water can sustain enough nutrients? i know my fish tanks are constantly cycling with nitrates. but won’t the pothos suck it all up in the vase? and if so what kind of fertilizer should i get to put in the water

Yes. You’ll lose some roots as they melt and they’ll grow water roots which are finer. You’ll need to use a water soluble fertilizer that’s suitable for hydroponics/semi hydroponics.
