  1. Thanks for my first time planning vegetables. My zone is 7B Clarksville Tennessee. Definitely, I will subscribe to your channel
    💯🔥🪴

  2. the milk jug idea is the best.! i have used that over the last 3 years… havent lost a plant when moving them out of the house.

  3. Thank you. This short video has helped me so very much. Now I can push the gas and GROW…lol (new grower here)

  4. Unfortunately seed packets cost way over 50 cents now , but the problem is the chlorine etc in say “ city etc “ water , last planting our tomatoes grew to almost 10 feet , used 2 x 4 s and strings , and perhaps if one would believe what’s in the rain , “ tin foil hat stuff “ could b a “ issue “

  5. My neighbor thought I was crazy staring into milk jugs all winter long ha ha! However, when they watched my garden growing all spring summer and fall, they were impressed 😂

  6. I've started the win sow method for the 1st time many have sprouted…everyone has a different idea some say to use seed starting and some say potting soil, I also use happy frog plus my own compost , can't make enough so have to buy some too..didn't know that tomatoes can be winter sown , I've only started flower seeds.thx for this info really helps alot!

Different seed types have very differnt starting guidelines.
Some are simple, others quite complex.
Some need light, others-complete darkness. Some need stratification and others scarification.
Some with very hard seed costs need actual fire to crack the seed coat.
Rare medicinal herbs can be complex to start and may need over a year of tlc.
There is no one size fits all set of rules.

  8. After seeds sprout in the bags, can you then grow them in the milk jugs? Do you throw away the seeds that didnt sprout in the bag?

  9. I am now super excited as i have been saving containers for the past couple of weeks. I couldn't find direct answers on soil or seed starter, which seeds work etc. i am in 7b where it is supposed to get up to only 26° tomorrow, but 50° by the weekend. This is on my to-do list for today!! Thank you!!

  10. Just found your channel. Where abouts are you? Im just south of Atlanta Georgia. Starting some more seeds this weekend. I'm checking out more of your play list. Thanks

  11. I’ve done this with native flowers that require culture stratification. Works great for that. Gonna have to try it on garden plants This year

  12. Yikes 50 cent seed packet? Please tell me where you get your seeds. $2.99 is lowest i pay. Thanks for your tips. Very nice voice and you aren’t an ai. I’m subscribing

  13. Got some milk jugs from a family that drinks a lot of milk. Question, do you water the potting soil before you place the jugs outside?

  14. Amazing video and I feel a little better now about trying to sow my own seeds this season. What hardiness zone are you in ?

  15. I learn more about growing my own food every season. I had my first success with starting my own seeds last year. They never came up this year. I am guessing they got over watered. I am looking for containers in my house right now to make my mini greenhouses. Thanks so much!

  16. Your video popped up in my feed and so happy it did and thank you for sharing!!

I've been dying to try growing my own produce indoors!! I've tried avocado and lemon seeds and I get as far as getting medium sized plants but that's it!! I've finally gotten mango seedlings but I'm dying to try other fruit seeds and also, veggies!!❤😊🙏🙏

  17. This was very inspiring and encouraging!! I have a mini greenhouse on our patio that I just started tomatoes and green onions in!! I have a half whiskey barrel with lettuce and carrots!! Thank you!!❤

  18. Doing the double cup method will help with airation on the bottom of the soils if you have a tendancy of over watering.

  19. Fingers crossed. Just used the potting soil you recommended and planted some cabbage and broccoli. A little tricky getting 1/4 inch deep. Ended up just patting the seeds into the potting soil. Guess time will tell if I did this right. Just placed the jugs outside.
