Help! I bought this guy on sale (because it had bloomed) and i think i killed it. I had to spray my garden for carpenters ants and i think i got it. I tried wiping it and cutting the most affected leaves but everything is yellow now. Too much water? Too little sun? The roots are strong and not crumbly or mushy.

Try an ice cube
None of those leaves will return to normal. I’m not sure but it seems like it could be bacterial or fungal? Whatever the case, I would personally toss this one. I’m sorry 😢😭
Cut off the flower stalk, it’s dead. Cut off obviously dead leaves but don’t touch those which are still partially green. Check the centre. It’s not visible in the photos but if the center is still green, it might produce new leaves if it revovers from shock. Put it in indirect sunlight, water sparingly and wait. Don’t fertilize, it will stress the plant even further, it needs something like “bed rest” now.
