Hi everyone,
I’m currently growing a Tillandsia intermedia, and I’m curious about your criteria for propagating Tillandsia vivipara. When the offsets (pups) become as large as or larger than the parent, do you remove them immediately? Would you propagate (divide) your plant in my situation? Please share the advantages and disadvantages you’ve experienced when dividing them. Thanks!

When the offset is as large as the parent, it’s more about your preference. Do you want a chain of intermedia, or individual plants. The only advantage of detaching the offset which I can think of is that the mother might produce more offsets.
