I’ve never used this corner of my little backyard for gardening and so I’m excited to see how it turns out!

I learned that the Home Depot by my house only sells cattle panels that are up to 8 feet tall. Luckily 6-8 feet is the perfect size to make a simple vertical trellis by screwing the cattle panel onto a fence or shed with some wire clamps.

In my next video I show how you can use a T-post if you need something else to attach the cattle panel to. In that video I use a 16-foot cattle panel to make an arch trellis. I was surprised how easy it was to set up once I had the materials. I needed to go to an IFA (farming store) nearby to get one of the longer cattle panels, but I’m sure many farming stores would work.

  1. A spacer behind those panels would allow alot better air flow to help prevent disease (and rot for that wood too).
