  1. 200 less VAT is about £170. To people carrying out the works is £85 per person without any materials….

  2. I'm assuming you only had 200 left for materials after buying that hammer! 😉 Aren't they about 300 quid? Is it worth it? (genuine question)

  3. Stop putting unrealistic prices on the internet. Yes you might habe been able get the materials for £200 but your not including everything involved in this job. Now everyone thinks this is what £200 gets you when you call up a landscaping company.

  4. Labour £200 cash £100 each
Materials £400 no trade discounts given done in 3 hours .
See through the fence that’s half the materials saved for an uglier fence.
    No guarantee
    Half the amount of nails
    No wood preserver
    No greased posts for damp
Blows over in the first winter 🌬️
    Not worth it

  5. Why would you cut the posts. They are treated end to end so makes it worse. Just order the right height and dig it deep enough for the right finished height. Also 3×3 posts are a proper diy effort we dont use any less than 4×4 even for picket fencing.

  6. Beware of only having three sides of the fence post exposed to the post mix, a stormy wind in the wrong direction can blow your fence down at its weakest point
