Hi all. New to vining/climbing plants. Just bought a Pink Princess which is actually two plants in the same pot. What is the best way to encourage them to grow so that the petioles emerge from the stem close together, ie short distances apart? Would light be the biggest factor? It’s in an indoor greenhouse set up with a large “cannabis strength” grow light 😆 60-70 percent relative humidity. I plan to do a simple wood plank and very chunky mix on first repot in the coming weeks. Thanks!

Bright lights and consistent watering schedules are pretty much all you can do to shorten internode spacing, but don’t get lights too close because it can stress and bleach the leaves.

This baby is a climber though.

Mmm, I’m kind of doing something similar with two PPPs. I just recently repotted them and when I did so, I tried to plant their main stems somewhat close together but I also set them up assuming that I’d repot them one more time before I put in a proper pole (they are a little too young). What I plan on doing is just tying both individual plants down on the stake/trellis/whatever and letting them each just kind of do their thing.
