  1. So many tips, specially when in my city I skip spring 😅, Kim looking good matching colors with sweet boy Mac, Mac you are looking good ❤

  2. I’m in N Texas and in between the northern and southern garden advice. Today I transplanted honeysuckle and sowed 4 types of Basil, Stevia, and zinnias. I potted-up lots of herbs, alyssum, spinach, marigolds and calendula and I amended my beds. Nasturtiums are ready to transplant.🌼🌸🌻

  3. You and Mac look great and ready for Spring! 🐾🍓Going to get some flower seeds started! I need to catch up! I missed your Monday class due to emergency gall bladder surgery. I’ll need to be careful for a bit, but today was beautiful so watered potted plants. Better get my honey do list going😊 I’m loving our warmer weather ☀️😊🪴🌱🌼🌷🌸👩🏻‍🌾

  4. March! The deck looks great &;❤ MAC. I need to seed start Super hot pepper, basil. I've grown Summer Savory! Great almost woody herbsy thyme flavor. Carrots are thriving (wish I planted more) Flowers are a necessity 🌸

  5. I’ve been a very busy this week for me. First, my mother lit the woods on fire. She is famous for doing that. I managed to get the fire 80 percent under control by the time the fire department arrived. Of course, that delayed my planting schedule.

The first thing I had to do is replace the self-tapping screws I used for the conduit clamps holding my PEX hoops in place with stainless steel nuts and bolts—for only six of my raised beds though. Then I had to dig out my compost. I managed to dig out about 14 cubic feet, saving me about $60-$70 at the big box store. Yeah! It was enough to top off the beds I use for growing broccoli, cauliflower, and zucchini.

After topping off the beds, I had to deal with fire ants. They had made a nest inside my compost bin, and were relocated with me invading their home. Needless to say, they were mad. Too bad, it is one of few bugs that I go out of my way to exterminate. RIP fire ants.

With all of that done, I transplanted Calabrese Broccoli, Self-Blanching Cauliflower, and All Seasons Cabbage into my raised beds, and covered them with netting. With one day remaining on my ultimatum, my parsnip seeds are germinating. Sowing seeds in that raised bed with turnips as an alternative crop is scratched off my list. I also have Danvers carrot sprouts—not enough. In a day or two, I’ll overseed that raised bed with more carrot seeds, and cover with shade cloth. It helps to keep the seeds moist until they sprout.

Next on my to do list is transplanting Tokyo Bekana Mustard seedlings, scattering a few mixed lettuce seeds, and transplanting four Seascape Strawberry plants into my GreenStalk. I already have strawberry plants flowering, central Alabama, zone 7. After that, comes transplanting Romaine Lettuce, mixed leaf lettuces, and Pak Choi. My chard needs another week or two before it will be ready to transplant.

The publishing links for Net Zero Starcrossed have been established, and it has gone out for ARC reviews. The first review has come back, on KOBO, and it is 5 stars. I am pushing for a March 8th launch date. Net Zero Goes to Hell is off to a speedy start. I am finishing Chapter 5. Wait a minute. I just finished writing a book Sunday, and sent it off for editing Monday. Got it back, corrected the edits, and worked on getting it published. And some how, I also managed to write thirty percent of the next serial. With everything else going on, how in the seven hells did I manage that?

Speaking of Hell, my story took a different twist from my plans. Ariel and Jenna were supposed to rescue Persephone from Hades in a Tartarus simulation, except… The simulation was a death trap. Any player jacking in to it is instantly flatlined. They died and really went to Hell thinking is is a full immersion VR simulation. They have limited time, four days, to either curry Persephone's favor, or satisfy Hades demand: Two souls, not slated for death, in exchange for theirs. With them being in Hell, how in the hell are they going to pull that off? I have no idea, and I am writing it!

  6. Thanks for the great tips. Challenge for me is getting the timing down right for starting seeds indoors, but this year I’m definitely building off of last year.
Last year I started in late March, but this time I think I’m within my ‘before last frost’ range. Hoping for more leafy greens this year.
