  1. I hate a cliff hanger! I am the one who stays up to 3am to finish the book or movie so I know what will happen. Excited to see the baby goats. Hope you are recovering well from overdoing it again.

  2. We had a very little bantam rooster (Tiny Tim) that would literally run down the driveway to jump on my husband, but he never bothered me. It was hilarious.

  3. I just knew the farm drama was going to be that somehow Wit was not the father. Now THAT would be some kind of drama. 😂😂😂

  4. Ohhhhh Jess!!! I was reliving my goat midwife days through you and BAM, no babies😳. Your mischievous smile and laughter with the cliffhanger did make me giggle though. Bless y’all!

  5. I absolutely adore Temple Granden! I’m a Flight Attendant and actually had her on one of my flights years ago. She is such a lovely person!

  6. You are finally going to be home when babies are born.
Please let the protective roosters live. They are such beautiful birds and just protecting their “flock”!

  7. Jess, do not throw away those broken nets! Mend them. How do you think fishing communities survived eons ago. Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without. This is a make-it-do situation.

  8. Just before you said it, I was thinking, "this sounds like one of those wildly inaccurate but cute premises for a children's book, like a Charlotte's Web sort of thing".

  9. Me-checking back 30 minutes later too 😂 girl! You know we need our bouncing goat baby fix!! lol. Have a good weekend!

  10. I had to laugh! Never saw roosters protecting goats. I had two beautiful multi colored roosters that we had in with our hens. Like you, I gave them grace b/c they were protecting their ladies. Then, our ladies started dying off b/c of their age, but we let the roosters free range and still had some hens so they were living their best life. Well, at a point, they got to where they would come after me as soon as I came out the back door to go to the clothes line and they started coming after me almost every day. So, they ending up in the canning jars. No one knows the power of aggressive roosters until they have been attacked by them. Hope yours don't end up in a canning jar! 🙂

  11. Just a thought, but you should buy you some live security cameras to put up in the barn to be able to watch and see when they, your goats, have their kids? You'll be able to look at your phone and watch live to make sure.

  12. I love watching this farm in Arizona called “Blue Cactus Dairy goats” on you tube. She is awesome just like you @ the best goat milk soap I have ever used. Jessica, her name is Crystal. Jess you will love her. ❤❤❤

  13. I broke my aggressive rooster by carrying a stick, never turning my back and staring him down while not backing down if he tried to start stuff with me, always wearing boots. Also, I would talk to him and his ladies while making sure he knew that I was where food came from. He’s happy go lucky now 😊

  14. I love how ridiculous animals can be

re: aggressive birds. My mom hates when there's a flock of crows in parking lots. She's scared that they'll run out from under a car and peck her ankles, so we would have to run at the birds like idiots to scare them away from her.

  15. If you start bringing the roosters or chickens treats and associate them with a noise. I use a bag of dries worms. When I shake the bag, those birds will follow me anywhere. But this … Is a huge surprise, It may not work under these circumstances.

  16. My last clutch of chicks bonded to my Boer nanny goats. they would roost on their backs, and the first sight of danger, like a flying hawk they would run and get under my goats. None better than a Boer goatie girl.

  17. You need to work on your cliff hanging skills Sister 😂 Glad you have a farm full of bouncing baby goats and you’re smiling and laughing. Congratulations!
