My golden pothos. I call her mother. I’ve had her for 2 years and recently gave her a good cutting and trying my hand at propagating. She has a bunch of new growth since but in doing so I noticed she is literally growing roots off her main vine??? And one is MASSIVE and found its way back into the dirt??? And I see there are some failed attempts to do the same?? Or am I I totally wrong. Wtf is on the go here friends. Please help lol I want her to be so lush and gorgeous that it puts all my other plants to share, she deserves it after my first year of neglect towards her. This past year I’ve been real good to her. Thanks!

I meant to say put my other plants to shame.*
Those are aerial roots since Pothos are plants that climb up trees in their natural habitat, they grow these roots to help them attach… just like philodendrons and monstera
They shoot out roots along the vine because in the wild they’ll root to the ground or trees as they grow. Try giving your girl a moss pole!
Order an moss pole, and once you get it in fill it up to the height you need. Put it into the pot with the plant and let it climb. The leaves will become bigger and brighter in color that way also.
I mean, roots be rooting?

Mines been growing well. I decided to grow this 1 up ..
your pothos is fine. sometimes aerial roots that are closer to the soil will do that because your plant is able to grab onto something. if you want to make her big and lush and breath taking you can always get her a moss pole, or a pole with orchid bark and soil in it (look at sydneyplantguy vids on youtube). or you can put those cuttings into the soil after they root a bit, and she’d be lush in time after that.
