From a tarot deck whose cards are all plants, some with other objects. Even when they’re vaguely labeled I’ve been able to narrow all of them down to species if not subspecies, so I’m sure this is an image of an actual kind of plant, but of the billion trees called “ironwood” I can’t seem to find one that looks like this.
The artist did misidentify some of the objects he illustrated in this deck, and in some cases I was able to find the exact reference image he used and see how he misidentified it, so this may not actually be an ironwood at all but something that was shown on a webpage that also showed an ironwood…

This does not look like [*Ostrya virginiana*](https://leafyplace.com/ironwood-tree/) (ironwood, see link) at all. The common name is ironwood but it could be a regional nickname or perhaps it’s just an artist’s mistake.

At least in Hawaii, ironwood is the name for a casurina pine tree

OP, I found the artist’s page [explaining both the card’s meaning and the actual plant name.](https://everydayoriginal.com/product/strength/)
It was actually >!*Androstachys johnsonii*, aka. **Lebombo ironwood.**!<
For me Ironwood is Parottia persica, this is why I love the Latin names ( this tree is known as Persian Ironwood)
Kevin Jay Stanton is the artist btw. Really talented botanical illustrator.
