  1. Watched the City Council review/approve this great project. Now you gardening is not the same as many others. A great demonstration of a pollinator/wildlife friendly pocket garden. With loss of habitat/tree canopy "rewilding" in urban spaces is so important. Invasives are a huge issue in the city as you know. Please encourage the city to increase support for the invasive species program. Work with the neighbor on removing the large Privet…. I bet donations will help offset cost of removing the invasives.

  2. Thank you for doing this project. I know it will be a ton of work to clear the invasives, and then to maintain the new garden. But so nice for you and your neighbors to enjoy.

  3. “Putnam Park” sounds good to me! What a great space for your town! I know you guys will make it beautiful!!!😊

  4. I look forward to seeing your native garden being created Jim. If anyone can do a good job in creating it, you certainly can. Great idea of turning a vacant space into a teaching facility as well.

  5. Great informatio Videos are really good. But it always makes me wonder when you feature your wife.Because in a previous episode, you said she does not like gardening. And yet you're always mentioning her… Just saying.

  6. Will you be doing natives to North America in general? Or specifically native to the southeast? So excited to see this project, your channel is one of my favorites!!

  7. How exciting! Really looking forward to watching this project develop. Are you planning to use named cultivars that maintain the important characteristics from the straight species? I’d love to know what resources you use to pick the best cultivars. Good luck!

  8. Congrats Jim & Steph!!! Because of you & your videos that’s how I started the Newwood Gardens.I’ve been watching all your videos for quite some time on my other account, but I’ll continue to support through this channel @TheNewwoodGardens.Can’t wait to see what this year brings for you,Steph & Holly & hope to talk soon.

    Take care,

  9. I am excited to watch this new garden from it’s beginning. Which reminded me of another garden that you all were part of but I can’t remember name and I was hoping to find a playlist for it… Hope you can help me. It was a very large teaching garden across from a large nursery and you were responsible for developing one area ( a side area). I remember the sketch of it and I remember all the woodchips but then not sure why but I lost track on that garden. Could you give me an update and a playlist link on the teaching garden near the large garden center/ nursery (Walter’s- I think)?

  10. That is very exciting news. It will be great to watch you transform this space. Such a win-win for you and the city! Can't wait to see the natives!
