Bottom row is germinating 20 varieties of herb and lettuce seeds, because they’re easy and I’m afraid 😂 Middle row is because I have no idea which plants might want or need a little hydro or semi-hydro nursery before going to their final home – 32oz deli cups, suspended by net cups, Kratky method. I have some perlite to help stabilize the babies if needed… Top row is a random assortment of houseplants soaking up some rays.

Right now I’m going quick & dirty, repurposing things I already have or buying cheap, and experimenting in steps to see where the love falls off. Next I’d love to try some indoor tomatoes, peppers, or strawberries, probably also Kratky in 1- or 3-gal buckets or special planters… but I also have an eye on going wild and having carrots, cukes, blueberries… I really would even love some sweet potatoes and some beets.

I’d love to go hydro or semi-hydro where able, but am not opposed to soil, like for potatoes, and have cloth grow buckets. My current setup is in my laundry room, but will outgrow it, and can expand into the basement, and our living area to some degree, but I have a good boy husky who I can’t just leave to devour things in our absence.

Excited to see how this new special interest unfolds… Thanks for reading!
