My very first Monstera appears to be doing very well. It has grown fast and it has several new leaves coming in. I can see how she might quickly grow out of control. How do I provide support for all the new… what’s the term? Sprouts? Branches? Areas? No idea.
Do I get a new moss pole? Do I somehow attach to the existing pole? She seems to be outgrowing it quickly

  1. Get a taller moss pole or put it up against a wall. There are adhesive clips you can put on the wall and hook stems in them to make it climb your wall!

You can listen to her and be on her side.

Joke aside, I prefer just sticks. No maintenance, no rot, easy extension.

A taller moss pole then chop and extend…as she matures the leaves will get bigger and root in the moss pole…you can then chop the moss pole and replant with the large leaf portion

Start seeing if you can have it trail a wall. This is a vine plant so putting in a taller pole will only last you so long.
