Snow melted in MN. Now lawn looks like this. Ground is super uneven. What is it and how can I prevent?

    Frost heave, happens when the soil freezes and thaws, it’ll smooth out again over time.

    They have a barrel type thing that you fill with water .its on wheels and you can run it over the ground to even it out .I think ..I have the same problem.
