At this rate, she will be touching the ceiling by the end of the year. She has some fungus knat damage, the sun is doing a good job of controlling them, and she’s been treated with insecticide. I am torn whether or not to chopper or lever to our own devices what would you do?

  1. It depends on a few things but firstly do you have the space to hold onto any additional plants of the same variety?
If not, then perhaps chop and prop in the same pot, it’ll create a fuller and bushier plant overall. If so, then maybe consider separate plants and experiment with them to see which helps the fungus gnats, like trying to grow in leca or pon.

Whatever you decide I’d only suggest adding a moss pole, these girls love to climb and their leaves get massive when they size up with a moss pole in my experience!

If you decide to cut and start over with a nice solid moss pole, I’d consider 2-3 plants into the same pot… and choose the nodes who’s leaves have the preferred variegated style you like. That should give better odds of a plant you’re happy with and that is healthy, plus makes sense given potential limited space.

If you decide to chop it, lol into sir layering! It will start you off with an established root system 🙂

I personally would chop the top two leaves and you would probably get more variegation in the new growty as well

No advice, but the variegation is magical.
Is this is White Wizard or Princess? I thought wizard until I saw that bit of pink up top.

I’d let it go. It looks healthy. If you want to take a top cut, I’d start air layering now. It can take awhile but they root better then just cutting them and sticking them in water or other substrates.
