I believe I have an earlier post on this, but a couple months ago my jade got what I’m pretty sure is powdery mildew. I’ve tried a number of things to salvage the growth I’ve spent years building, but once I saw the leaves under a new grow light, I knew I needed to take more drastic action.

This plant was what got me into the hobby and I’ve extremely attached to it. It got repotted this summer and was absolutely thriving before this happened. Now, it barely holds water and new leaves show up infected nearly daily.

I’ve pruned over half of its leaves and branches. I’m not sure this will be enough but I’m continuing a fungicide weekly (why it’s wet in photos) in the hopes I can save what’s left.

Any advice or reassurance would be very much appreciated. I’m trying to look at this as a net positive because now I can really shape the plant into what I want it to look like; I didn’t have the heart to make such heavy cuts when it was healthy.

Photos 1 & 2 are tonight, all others are from the summer/fall of ‘24.

Are you 100% positive it’s powdery mildew? Have you tried neem oil? I rescued a fiddle leaf fig ridden with powdery mildew and gave it a spray + wipe down every week until it was gone, and it hasn’t been back since. Sorry to see your Jade looking sad, I love my Jade and she’s been struggling recently too lol. Best of luck!
