Blotchy leaves-sun damage?

Hi, could these blotches be from excess sunlight? It's probably Malay gold (got it years ago at a supermarket without a name tag so not sure). Only the lower older leaves will once in a while turn blotchy like this. The blotches are only visible on the top part of the leaf, the underside seems normal. I moved my parent plant further from the window and have not had a leaf like that on it in months. Its babies that are closer to the window still get blotchy leaves. I have a bunch of other philodendrons in the same room and this has been going on for years (on and off) without any other species exhibiting similar signs, so I am thinking it must be something that Malay gold is especially sensitive to.
