One way you didn't mention that seedlings die is when you knock over the tray they're in.
In 6 years of gardening I've never had it happen once and this weekend I've done it twice in span of two days.
Not sure if this vid has a hack in it. Was watching, then laptop fan came on, then James' voice was silent. YouTube speaker at full, and the Windows speaker was X. Looked and found that all of my sound drivers WERE DELETED !!! Having to redo entire laptop Windows 11, … and was doing nothing else than watching James. Just saying, beware this vid…..

Thank you so much. Is it true that you should remove the heat mat once they germinate? Does that depend on wether or not they are warm weather seeds? Also I made a fatal mistake. Never start them in all compost like I did they all died so I started over. And they seem to be doing great. I’m also watering them too often. Thank you James for everything you help me with. Mad love.

Being in zone 5a (Southern New Hampshire) I am only in the planning and equipment gathering stage. Thanks for sharing your extensive knowledge and experience.
Good video. I'd like to see how you make your own mix. I made my own with peat and vermiculite this year and hydrated using some peroxide and mosquito bits mixed in with a gallon of water to sterilize and eliminate any fungus gnat problems.

Everything looks and sounds great! Love the inside seed starting info as well as the hardening off process info. The hardening off is usually the hardest problem for me!
