I think she is not ready to bloom. Whenever she turned slightly reddish, it would faded. I rotated the plants regularly because my grow lights are from the side, lightning should be good enough, 9 hours daily, humidity is fair.
Pup is the fatter plant, while mother is the skinny plant. 😅
Have them since June 14, 2024. Soaked them every 3 days for 2 hours with filtered water (I hate seeing them with dry tips) with fully submerge. And soaked them in diluted bromeliad fertizer once month with 4 hours fully submerge. After done soaking, always let them sit uoside down on a piece of cotton napkin for 24 hours, the plants took about 1.5 to 2 hours to fully dry up as I used fan to help them dried up faster.
They used to have more leaves at the bottom, but those leaves dried up over time, so I removed them, which is why the stem is long. And it has a long root that grow in a shape of "∟" (pic 6).

Up the time gradually over the next few months to 12-13 hours.
I’m not sure if it’s due to the humidity or temperature, but I have 2 trays of ionanthas from a friend who kept them for 4 years indoors under growlights and they never bloomed. When I took over, I continued the same care for the next 2 years and they didn’t bloom either. However, I moved them to an outdoor balcony after I shifted to a new place and they have been blooming one after another. Maybe they were mature enough to bloom, maybe it was the sudden change in environment – I guess I can never know for sure
