Lucky to have little bit on sunshine
Nicely put together video Jim. Your plot is looking great and ready for Spring. All the best. Mags
I was thinking of spraying the inside of my polytunnel with a Dettol solution would that damage the plastic or could you suggest anything different ???
Nice tips Jim. I have been weeding this week and I'm going to clear out the polytunnel. I've not noticed much sign of spring this week in the UK. Maybe next week 😀
Hi Jim. I use seaweed because the thought of blood, fish and bone makes me squeamish, but I'm a newish gardener so am not sure if this is okay? What is your opinion please?🙏 Thank you.
Fantastic video. 🙏Thank you.
Wood chip path ways 😊👍
Thanks! I find your vids inspirational…even for doing the chores 😂
Due to a pending operation in our late autumn will be covering my beds as they empty with weed mat, worked last year, then slowly remove when its time to plant and sow. Received a load of free mulch, have spent the summer covering areas with it. Amazing how much the weeds are reduced down the paths, the weeds are just against the edges of the beds.
I can't believe my sweet peppers germinated after 1 day! I only chucked them on some compost to see what happens after scraping them out of my lunch. It's been a week now and I have hundreds of the things in leaf, as well as oriental poppies and witch hazels (I was told it was hard to get these to grow from seed) and heleniums and hollyhocks that all sprouted after a day. Best start to my season ever. Do you recommend the green polytunnel thing? I can get them 3m by 2m by 1.9m tall for £40 so if they are good I will get a couple.
the range sell wikos seeds
😂😂 I got back out in the garden and got snow in my shoes 🤦♀️. Great update as always Jim, have a fab weekend, Ali 🥶🥶❄️🇨🇦
Hello Jim,
Your allotment garden looks so very good. I like to use wood ash instead of lime for my cabbage beds.
Greatings from Germany 👩🏻🌾

Jim I hope spring and summer is coming this year We didn't have one last year worst year iv ever seen in my life.
Scrub your greenhouse inside and out thats what my late neighbour used to say come winter he would paint it in some kind of white paint.
Great update Jim. Love your channel! 😊
Grass clippings and comfrey teas are easy to make and apply to soil, leaving the mulch to put into the compost bin, so completely sustainable and no waste.
pallet co,,ers are a good idear to
I sometimes use Growmore fertilizer is a nice 7-7-7 NPK balance.
Jim, have you tried using frass as a soil fertiliser? it's brilliant stuff. Works great for all my veg at home
Well done Jim, it’s a good time to get those jobs done 👍
Spring is definitely knocking on our door, I found a butterfly in my potting shed today.
Hi James, great update and some helpful tips for jobs this month, when I lime my beds before the brassicas go in I'll lime them 3/4 weeks before I plant, rake it in then it has time to settle down, take care Steve
Hello from Ireland 🇮🇪 Seaweed is great 👍 happy 2025 gardening 😊
Come to my allotment. So wet I'm going to get goldfish
Spring is definitely around the corner. Seems we did a few of the same jobs last week.
I’ve been brave and pruned the young fruit trees I put in the plot autumn 2023. Here’s hoping they don’t sulk.
Those raised beds are such a lovely space to grow in. Looking forward to seeing everything bursting with greenery soon
Do you build your raised beds directly on the soil or on plastic?
Lovely colour on the paint, Jack!
