So happy we are at this stage in garden prep because with all of the worlds issues it always puts me in a better space watching the babies sprout! Knowing that the food I'm growing makes my family and friends super happy. Then the new recipes start getting traded! As always thx Jenna
I have never eaten or grown kohlrabi. Do you have any suggestions on how to try it? Any recipes? I'm always up to try something new 🙂
Thanks for motivating me! I have a slightly off topic question that hopefully you’ll have info on. Do you know about or have you ever used copper wrapped wood in your garden area? Supposedly it produces larger harvests. Thanks for the video and if you know anything about my question I’d love to hear your thoughts.
I live in 6b (buffalo/rochester). We have a foot of snow and more coming. I dont want to be TOO antsy. Is it too early to grow inside?
wonder is the petunia grandma jean? I have grown them for years and love them.Just started this years seeds for northwest ohio garden.Mix some tidalwave silver in with them makes a nice show and both have a little scent as a bonus…….Steve
I LOVE THIS PLEASE KEEP GOING. I’m in the same zone lol
what is the mid temperature actually in Ohio… ( in your garden …) thanks….see you a next time too……………. good night…. .
Hi, I’m just starting my seeds indoor and the humidity domes have a lot of condensation. I’m getting a few seedlings popping up. Is it OK to keep the domes on?
Thank you so much for this series! I know you have older videos but this showing up helps me get going!
cilantro roots are amazing!! even after bolting
Onions seedlings started, few herbs but not due to germinate for another week.
I'm testing and got little lettuce for my tiny cold frame I'm trying this spring.
So lucky you're in 6a as myself this monthly heads-up is ideal
If I didn't have seeds there was still time to order or buy in most. stores..
BIG THANKS
Thanks for sharing from Chicago here, started wayyyyy to early last year im prepping now will start next week, soooo excited.
Yay! I love this series! 🎉
Thanks Jenna! Love the series! Do you do sweet potato slips? I started mine last week but didn't know what your method may be.
Can I frost sow delphinium and/or foxglove seeds?
I have been buying cilantro, when I need it, but I think I will buy a seed packet and sow some this spring. …must wait for our 2+ feet of snow to melt!
I'm in zone 5. Can it do the same, but a few weeks later or follow your schedule?
Thank you🌱
I am finally going to start some brassicas this weekend & of course more flowers for bouquets. Mainly cold flowers it's finally time. I have had luck cilantro in the shade when heat arrives day & cooler temperature night.
What is your opinion on the firefly petunias? I grew last season they really are awesome and glow. Had to get more
I love all greens, cabbage and lettuces but I've never grown nor eaten Kohlrabi so what is the best way to cook/prepare and eat it for a first timer.
Never know I may have to make a video for you on this if I follow through. LOL
Hi Jenna. Thanks for the great info. It would be helpful to know when you transplant your seedlings to your garden. Keep up your good work.
❤
I appreciate knowing where you are located and the length is just right for those of us just having a quick break. Thank you.
Thanks!
Have you started any sweet potato slips? I usually get mine going mid Feb, not yet this year, lol.
I have a bunch of awesome annuals that come back every year, borage, chamomile, calendula, cosmos. bachelor buttons, 4 O'clocks dill and cilantro. I always start some so I can give away and add to new locations.
Is that poppy a perennial? I have 3 spots with perennial poppies, just love them in the spring/early summer.
Enjoy your videos! Stay Well !!!
thanks for this. I'm also ohio zone 6a.
Thanks Jenna. Lots of reminders. I need to get on my cilantro and dill.
Am loving these videos as we are also zone 6 but in CT! Planting earlier and different varieties this year with your guidance. Thanks!
When do you direct sow and transplant into your cold frame? I’m in Ohio zone 6a as well. I’ve got head lettuces that I started inside, kale, and cabbage.
