(USDA Zone 5/6) I am Jay, I ask strangers if I can see their gardens. A few years ago, a stranger appeared at my garden gate, asking if she could take a look at my garden. I welcomed her in and showed her my garden. In turn, I reached out to her, asking if I could see her garden, she graciously agreed.
What intrigued me the most was the name of her garden—she calls it A Gardener’s Retreat. With so many questions on my mind, I paid her a visit. This is Robin’s retreat, a private garden hidden on a quiet suburban street. As I walked through Robin’s beautiful yet usual garden, I began to see there is a deeper meaning hidden in the space we build and cultivate in our backyard.

I'm quite jealous of that hose set up!
She has a Midwest accent. She brought some of those gardening secrets?

Seu jardim is amazing! May God Bless you even more!
It's breathtaking ❤
Jay, I just discovered your channel and was absolutely blown away. You have such a mild, kind manner and your love for gardening shines in your voice. No wonder your neighbors let you see their garden! I’m new to gardening but I’m learning so much. Thank you!
Beautiful
So wonderful your climbing hydrangea hasn't gotten eaten by Japanese beetles. They are so bad in Chicago.
Hola, muy bonito el jardín pero sería genial traducir el video al español gracias desee Colombia

In a word . . . WOW! I just this morning stumbled across your channel and am captivated!! Exploring this garden and your conversation/narration and spot-on selection of background music, DREW me right into her garden with you. I felt like I was transported to a lovely vacation experience for 20 minutes. Wow! Thank you, Jay. Just a few minutes into the video I subscribed and look forward to viewing your other videos. What a gift you are giving to us. ☺
What a beautiful garden and what a beautiful life to be so lucky to live right next to friends. Thank you for sharing.
so many wonderful ideas ~ thank you!
Gorgeous. Thanks for the video tour
I would love something like this beautiful garden but since I live in the upper Mojave Desert in Arizona at just over 3,000' elevation and water is scarce, I cannot imagine it for me. I unfortunately do not enjoy much desert cactus but do like some of the desert florals. I have hope. We have about 1/4 acre but about 1/3 is usable for gardens and a lot of the rest is buildings, or tree shade or septic sewer field.
really beautiful!!!!
💫💕✨
She must have a beautiful weather over there. Here in Texas…🙄
I love your channel. Thank you so much. ❤
Gorgeous and SO inspiring! Also, this woman MUST be from the North Shore of Chicago, am I right?
Awesome garden 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love her attitude, and love her garden! It is a beautiful work of art created over years. My husband and I have created lush gardens in all of our homes over the years, it is our obsession. However I am jealous of the talent that your husband has in building hardscapes!
Somply beautiful!!!❤❤❤❤
beautiful but too much plants must trim short or revom3s
Very beautiful landscaping. I love this type of living and will definitely do something like this if ever I have lands of my own.
The universe brought all these lovely neighbours and gardeners together. 💖🌸🦋✨
My mom has built the most beautiful oasis of an award winning garden with her spouse – whom she met on Facebook gardening group even though he lived a continent away and it’s very inspiring and uplifting to everyone.
