They’ve gotten bigger and there are more of them since I last noticed about a month ago! Is the plant a complete write off?

It was growing seemingly healthily when I first bought it but hasn’t grown any new leaves in months.

I’ve just bought a second much bigger monstera and want to know how I can avoid this happening with that one.

Any tips please?
Thank you!!

  1. Looks like springtails to me. They break down plant matter.

I second that it looks like spring tails. Spring tails themselves are actually really good. Though having so many may point to something else being wrong as they eat decaying plant matter. I’d check for root rot just to be safe. though it could also just be that u have good soil

  3. Idk I think they could be like actual baby centipedes? I’m pretty sure springtails aren’t that long. However the same as springtails, I don’t think they are harmful to the plant, and probably beneficial for the soil. Probs just had some larvae or eggs in the soil and now you’ve just noticed them

If you bought/used compost or something similar without pesticide it’s likely just springtails.
