I gotta get out in my yard too my tomato plants and pepper plants didn't die til almost december. And i gotta trim back my hydrangea plants.
There are oganizations near me that do free feral cat TNR, Trap neuter release. even if they are not feral but they just live outside like boy, they shoudl be able to do it for free. They usually give them shots and everything too. It's worth looking into and that way it keeps that sweet boy safe from the other strays as far as any fights he may get into. I would for sure look into it. They may cut a slit or notch in his ear it shows vets and animal control that they are cared for. If that helps. Just a suggestion. not meaning you have to. NOt sure if you were aware of these programs. Thought I would pass a long the info.
